Position: Planning Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas (Detailed Engineering) Experience Level: 10-20 years Key Responsibilities • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules for offshore Oil & Gas detailed engineering projects,, • Prepare and maintain the Master Drawing List (MDL) and ensure all deliverables are tracked against approved schedules., • Coordinate with discipline engineers, document control, procurement, and project teams to capture and reflect progress accurately., • Report directly to the Project Manager, providing updates on schedule status, progress, bottlenecks, and mitigation measures., • Track and report progress of all activities from project kick-off to issue of Good-For-Construction (GFC) drawings to site., • Identify schedule risks, delays, and propose recovery plans / catch-up schedules., • Facilitate weekly/monthly progress review meetings with stakeholders. Required Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of offshore Oil & Gas project life cycle, particularly in the detailed engineering phase., • Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project., • Hands-on experience in preparation and tracking of Master Drawing Lists (MDL)., • Ability to interface with multiple disciplines and understand dependencies between civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and procurement activities., • Good understanding of engineering deliverables, design milestones, and document workflows (from design issue to AFC/GFC stage)., • Familiarity with project reporting requirements (S-curves, histograms, look-ahead schedules, etc.). Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent)., • Experience in planning for offshore Oil & Gas detailed engineering projects.
