VD Recruitment has partnered with a leading chain of Independent Montessori Nurseries in Wembley & Harrow area that specializes in Montessori teaching. We are seeking an experienced full time Level 3 Baby Room Practitioner to join their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated ‘Good’ nursery. Salary: £24000 to £26000 Location – Wembley HA9 Hours – 40 /week (Rotating early & late shifts between 7.30am to 6.30pm) OR 4 Days/ Week You’ll need to be highly committed to providing children with the very best care and education. You’ll also have to be keen to progress and develop your own knowledge and skills and work as part of a team. The successful Nursery Practitioner will have strong knowledge of EYFS, an understanding of children’s development and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent. Your main duties as a Nursery Practitioner would be : Provide high quality care and activities for the children and to recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and any other appropriate guidance for young children in accordance with nursery policy and guidelines. Work in partnership with parents/carers, recognising that parents are their children’s first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery. Assist and attend parents’ meetings and open days. Help Maintain the safety and security of all children, employees and visitors to the Nursery. Help carry out regular assessments to ensure all Nursery Health and Safety procedures are followed. Requirements of the Nursery Manager - Must have proven experience of leading the delivery of childcare and play opportunities to children age 0-5 years - Relevant qualification to a minimum level 3 - Proven experience of managing a team of at least 10 people is essential - A sound knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and Safeguarding - Experience of recruiting staff - A minimum of three years childcare experience.
