The Role The Marketing Coordinator is a creative, hands-on and highly organised individual who will keep Business Launchpad's marketing activity running smoothly day to day. Working closely with and reporting to the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead, you will be the engine behind our content output, producing assets, maintaining our platforms, coordinating with freelancers and agencies, and ensuring the right content reaches the right audiences at the right time. This is an execution-focused role that requires someone who is self-sufficient, proactive and takes pride in high-quality, on-brand delivery. You will work across both Business Launchpad and Tooting Works, communicating clearly across departments and with external suppliers to keep activity on track. Some evening work will be required to support events. Roles & Responsibilities Content and Social Media • Maintain and deliver against the cross-departmental content calendar, ensuring content for social media, newsletters, YouTube and the website is planned, produced and published on time., • Manage BLP and Tooting Works social media channels day to day - creating and scheduling platform-native content including graphics, short-form video, reels and copy., • Capture content at BLP and Tooting Works events (or coordinate capture with photographers and videographers) to fuel ongoing social media and communications activity., • Monitor social media performance and share regular analytics updates with the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead to inform content decisions., • Responsible for gathering content from teams for newsletters and email communications, ensuring materials are on-brand and delivered on schedule. Design and Brand • Produce in-house design assets using Canva - including social media graphics, programme flyers, posters, event materials and presentation templates - for both BLP and Tooting Works. (Or where necessary liaise with freelance graphic designers)., • Ensure all in-house design output is consistent with BLP and Tooting Works brand guidelines in terms of typography, colour, tone and visual style., • Brief and coordinate freelance photographers, videographers and asset designers, managing timelines and reviewing deliverables against the brief., • Support the production of the annual report, case studies, alumni stories, and other key publications, coordinating contributions from across the team and liaising with external designers as directed by the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead. Website and Digital Platforms • Make day-to-day content updates to the BLP and Tooting Works websites, including programme pages, event listings, news articles and staff or partner profiles., • Liaise with the agencies managing the BLP and Tooting Works websites for updates, fixes or development work that falls outside day-to-day edits, escalating and briefing as directed by the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead., • Support the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead in identifying improvements to website content and user experience. Agency and Supplier Coordination • Act as a day-to-day point of contact with the agencies managing paid advertising campaigns for BLP and Tooting Works, passing on briefs and assets from the Quality Assurance & Impact Lead and relaying feedback and updates., • Maintain organised records of supplier contacts, campaign assets, photography libraries and brand files so that materials are easy to locate and share., • Ensure all external creative output from agencies and freelancers is reviewed against brand guidelines before publication. Internal Communications and Coordination • Communicate proactively across departments - including Programmes, Partnerships and Fundraising - to gather content, information and approvals needed to keep the content calendar moving., • Attend team meetings and programme events to stay across what is happening at BLP and identify content opportunities., • Provide on-the-ground marketing support at events, including Launchpad Live sessions, pitch days and external-facing workshops, some of which will take place in the evenings., • Contributing to monthly reporting and gathering performance data Personal Qualities (Aligned to BLP Values) • Growth Mindset – reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement., • Community Focused – values the needs and strengths of young people and local communities., • Collaborative and Enterprising – proactive and thrives on taking initiative., • One Mission, One Team – highly conscientious and reliable, committed to shared success. Person Specification Essential Experience • 2–3 years’ experience specifically in a marketing role, • Experience in a marketing, communications, or content role., • Experience managing social media channels for an organisation or brand., • Experience producing design assets using Canva or equivalent tools., • Experience updating website content using a CMS (e.g., Wix, WordPress, or similar)., • Experience producing newsletters or email campaigns (e.g., Mailchimp)., • Experience briefing or coordinating freelance creatives., • Experience working in the charity, social enterprise, or enterprise support sector., • Experience using Salesforce Marketing Suite. Essential Skills and Knowledge • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms., • Confident using Canva, with a good eye for design and visual communication., • Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and content formats., • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously., • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and create structure in own workload., • Clear and proactive communicator – written and verbal – across teams and with external suppliers., • Attention to detail in both written and visual output., • Familiarity with paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads or Google Ads)., • Basic understanding of SEO principles., • Photography, videography, or basic video editing skills.
