Summary of Role: As a Contact Supervisor, you will ensure that families are welcomed and supported when in the Supervised Contact Centre, in community settings and other appropriate venues as required. You will have an open-minded, flexible and caring approach towards children, parents and other family members who are attending supervised contact. Our aim is to provide a happy and positive experience for children, young people and their families. You will therefore ensure that children and young people are kept safe and that their emotional wellbeing is prioritised at all times. You will ensure the welfare of children and young people is at the forefront of the team’s work and ensure that Family Action and Hertfordshire’s safeguarding procedures are followed. You will provide an opportunity to support parents to maintain positive relationships with their children. Where required, you will oversee practical and emotional support for parents building a trusting relationship with them; this will help to make supervised contact sessions a positive experience for the children. Where contact is between the wider family group e.g., sibling contact, you will ensure the needs, preferences and experiences of all attendees are considered and supported. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. To support the delivery of safe and effective supervised contact sessions. 2. To promote and maintain contact arrangements that are agreed between all parties including respecting the wishes of children and young people. 3. To ensure you have an understanding of, and comply with, Family Action’s and Hertfordshire’s procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults, undertaking risk assessments before each session ensuring that the risks identified by Social Workers are mitigated. 4. To assess the quality of parenting observed during the supervised contact, ensuring that the key areas for observation identified by the Social Worker are addressed, and use this evidence to complete detailed and timely reports as required by the court and/or principal social worker. 5. To ensure that all supervised contact sessions are managed to ensure as positive experience for the children and young people as possible. 6. To recognise any risks of harm and intervene appropriately to de-escalate the risks or bring in additional support as required to safeguard the children. 7. To keep records of your work using Family Action systems, adhere to confidentiality, information sharing protocols and risk assessment processes. 8. To have the ability to travel to supervised contact sessions in other area’s (when required). 9. To contribute to the collection, recording and analysis of information required by commissioners, judiciary, principal social worker and Family Action and provide accurate reports as necessary. 10. At Tristar Tech Solutions (based in Welwyn), we believe it's not about your experience or even lack of experience. It's about who you are. In short, we don't mind what your background is or even if you have experience, as long as you can have a good future. We have gradually been building business for the last 20 years and our team of 15 is amazing. They do great work keeping our customers IT maintained so they can do business and do great work. And what we need to do now is just tell other businesses about us. Sales and marketing. Details of how to apply at the bottom. So we need someone to do a mix of sales and marketing. Firstly, follow-up on incoming enquiries because we don't have anyone to do that. Maybe visit these enquiries in person accompanied by one of our technology experts and put together proposals. And secondly, to tell lots of local businesses about us and see if they can use our services. Starting by sending out some letters (very old school but it works!). Follow up on them and speak to some people. And then figure out what else needs to be done to help us do better sales and marketing. Like attending exhibitions, start and run our social media and anything else you can think of. Because while customers love what we do, we don't have a sales and marketing person! We're all techies. What is also important is we have a great team who all get on. We can all trust each other and talk and laugh together. So someone who can come in and add to that would be great. Salary? We don't know. But we're guessing around the £25k - £30k base salary with commission to take you up to £50k once you are hitting target. And we know it takes time to get up to speed and hit targets and are happy for inexperienced people to take their time. Why are we hiring? Our second to last salesperson was with us for 10+ years and he is now retired. After he left, we hired someone who needed to get up to speed and unfortunately, when they started to become successful, they were offered a ton of money by another business and left. And good luck to them because we know that in the tech world, this can happen. There can be a lot of money for the right people. Because in sales / marketing, you can make your own salaries once you start bringing in more sales.
