New Job Opportunity - Offshore EHS Advisor - Contract - START 10th MAY GWO REQUIRED Job Title: EHS Advisor Location: Offshore / Marshalling Harbour Pay Rate: £550 per day - LTD Outside IR35 Rotation: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off Role Overview The EHS Advisor is responsible for supporting and promoting a strong Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture at the marshalling harbour for an offshore renewable energy project. The role ensures safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental performance in line with company and client requirements. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary EHS focal point, providing advice and support to supervisors and technicians, • Ensure compliance with GWO standards, client HSE requirements, and relevant wind industry best practices, • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and safety walks to identify and mitigate risks, • Facilitate and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Toolbox Talks, • Lead and support incident / near miss reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions, • Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, spill prevention, and energy use, • Deliver safety inductions, briefings, and refresher sessions for all offshore personnel, • Coordinate emergency drills and ensure compliance with client and project requirements, • Maintain accurate records and prepare EHS reports for the Project HSE Manager, • Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and visible leadership Qualifications & Experience • Valid GWO certification package (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Sea Survival), • Demonstrated offshore EHS experience, ideally within offshore wind or renewable energy projects, • Knowledge of offshore wind safety standards, guidelines, and best practice (e.g. G+, IMCA, client requirements), • Strong background in risk management, inspections, and incident investigation, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across multi-disciplinary teams, • Strong reporting and IT skills (MS Office, incident management systems) Personal Attributes • Proactive and approachable with a strong safety mindset, • Ability to engage with teams at all levels and encourage safe behaviours, • Resilient and adaptable to the dynamic offshore environment, • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
