We are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager in support of our Yorkshire Water contract. this is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives. Working Hours & Location • Salary: £45 000.00, • Shift pattern: Mon - Fri (8am - 5pm), • Location: Bradford, • Holidays: 24 days holiday + Bank holidays Key Responsibilities Working with the Head of Customer and Planning, you will lead a team of Planners and Planning Team Leaders to: • Completing set productivity targets for planners, • Planning a full schedule of works in line with the set targets i.e. commercial, planning ahead by 7 days., • Keeping track of Ops non-completions throughout the day and planning top-up work to meet the completion targets., • Working closely with stores/supervisors in order to plan and complete jobs., • Answering and resolving customer enquiries and demonstrating ownership of the problem, • Ensure SLAS are maintained within the Yorkshire Water Contract, • Building effective working relationships with the field operations., • With a ‘Right First Time’ approach, motivate the team to plan preventive, planned and re-active maintenance within contractual SLAs, whilst optimising travel routes and field productivity, • Working closely with the key Operational stakeholders to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the effectiveness of the operations department., • Maintaining high standards within Health, Safety & Environment, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement., • Lead the team to manage and coordinate the promoted workload according to defined priorities, estimating resource and duration requirements in line with agreed metrics., • Engage with external and internal customers in scheduled meetings., • Conduct regular 1-2-1s with team members and take responsibility for the coaching and development of the Planning Team, • Track and monitor performance against KPIs with a clear plan for opportunities to improve., • Work with teams to enhance data quality in work promotion and scheduling to drive continuous improvement., • Maintain timely and accurate input and uploading of information into the works management systems, ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated., • Ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner. This may include keeping the client and management team to be informed of any ongoing incidents or events., • You will ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved, to both external and internal customers, providing excellent customer satisfaction., • Provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change. Skills, behaviours and qualifications • Good sector experience in a similar role - Water Industry, ideally Waste water, • Good knowledge of Streetworks / Noticing / Permitting / Traffic Management process and compliance, • Previous experience in managing team leaders and planners, • Demonstrable experience of analysing and reporting planning and delivery performance, programme adherence / analysis, SLA performance, team performance, • Great communication skills, including ability to effectively present, • Great IT skills, with good experience of scheduling systems / SAP platform ideal About the Lanes Group The Lanes Group are the UK’s largest independent provider of water and wastewater solutions and services, we play a vital role in always maintaining the seamless operations of the nation’s water systems.
