    Job Title: Admin & Customer Services Advisor (Part-Time) Location: Home-based (following initial training period) Hours: 20 hours per week Pay: £12.71 per hour Company: UK Pallets LTD & Sendapallet (part of Mitchells of Mansfield) Reporting to: Customer Services Manager About the Role We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Admin & Customer Services Advisor to join our small, supportive team. This is a part-time, home-based role (following an initial training period), supporting our web-based customers and ensuring a high standard of service delivery. You will be responsible for handling customer and supplier queries, resolving issues efficiently, and proactively managing consignments to meet agreed timescales. Key Responsibilities • Deliver all duties to a high professional standard, • Handle incoming requests from customers, suppliers, and colleagues promptly and thoroughly, • Troubleshoot customer issues via phone and electronic communication, • Proactively manage customer relationships and provide updates where required, • Carry out consignment checks to ensure timescales are met, • Communicate any delays or issues to customers where resolution is not immediately possible, • Liaise with suppliers regarding special requirements and provide feedback to customers, • Manage all back-office tasks effectively, ensuring completion within agreed timescales, • Take ownership of all communications and ensure they are completed in full Key Work Activities • Answer incoming calls within 3 rings, • Respond to emails and electronic communications in a professional and timely manner, • Maintain clear and accurate communication Core Skills & Attributes • Strong sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction, • Passion for delivering excellent customer service, • Friendly, patient, and professional communication style (written and verbal), • Excellent listening and attention to detail, • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure, • A proactive approach and willingness to go above and beyond for customers Knowledge & Experience • Full training will be provided, • Experience of pallet networks and transport operations would be advantageous, • Basic knowledge of Excel, Freshdesk, chat systems, and Microsoft Teams is beneficial, • Ability to quickly learn systems and processes What We Offer • Flexible part-time hours on a rota basis, with coverage between 8am and 6pm., • Home working after initial training – training to be held at WS15, • Supportive team environment, • Ongoing training and development If you are organised, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

    We are a growing steel manufacturing business in Cannock, with new contracts secured and continued investment in our operations. As a well-established, medium-sized manufacturer, we offer a stable long-term opportunity with sociable working hours and genuine work-life balance, including additional time off over the Christmas period. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems in a busy production environment. The Role You will play a key role in keeping our machinery running efficiently, reducing downtime and ensuring safe production operations. This is a hands-on engineering role, working closely with production teams to maintain and improve industrial machinery across the site. Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance • Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment, • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults in manufacturing machinery, • Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery, • Follow all safety procedures and site regulations, • Work closely with production teams to prioritise repairs, • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production loss, • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within steel or similar manufacturing, • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems., • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software., • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints., • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, • Proficiency using diagnostic tools and maintenance software, • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Full UK driving licence – essential, • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, • Standing for extended periods, climbing and lifting equipment, • Monday to Friday working pattern, • Bank holidays off, • Additional time off over the Christmas period, • Competitive salary (£40k–£43k depending on experience)
