Position: Microbiology Team Leader Job description Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Microbiology Team Leader to oversee and manage microbiology laboratory operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain quality assurance, and lead a team of microbiologists in conducting microbial testing, research, and validation activities. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise the microbiology team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to SOPs., • perform microbiological testing, including sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and microbial identification., • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, and other regulatory requirements., • Develop, validate, and implement microbiological methods and procedures., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality control, product development, and troubleshooting., • Maintain laboratory records, analyse data, and prepare reports for regulatory submissions., • Train and mentor team members, ensuring continuous professional development., • Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment., • Investigate microbiological OOS, deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)., • Bachelor's/Master’s/Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field., • Minimum 4 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical, food, or biotechnology industry., • Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods, contamination control, and regulatory guidelines., • Experience in leading a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills., • Proficiency in laboratory documentation, data interpretation, and reporting., • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills., • Experience with sterility assurance, validation studies, and risk assessments., • Certification in microbiology or quality assurance., • Hands-on experience with advanced microbiological techniques and instrumentation.
