The Opportunity \n An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join the firm's Northwood office on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. This role will provide vital support to fee earners across multiple practice areas, with a particular focus on assisting the Residential Conveyancing team while also supporting Corporate, Commercial and other legal departments as required. \n This position would suit a proactive and organised Paralegal who enjoys variety in their work and is keen to develop experience across a broad range of legal disciplines within a busy private practice environment. \n Key Responsibilities Residential Conveyancing Support \n\n • Conduct Land Registry searches and obtain title documents.\n, • Assist with post-completion matters, including registration applications and SDLT-related administration.\n, • Prepare and submit Land Registry applications.\n, • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties regarding conveyancing matters.\n, • Assist fee earners with the progression of residential property transactions.\n, • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure files are up to date.\n\n General Paralegal Support \n\n • Provide administrative and legal support to fee earners across various departments, including Corporate and Commercial.\n, • Draft correspondence, legal documents and basic transactional documents under supervision.\n, • Undertake legal research and prepare file notes.\n, • Prepare client engagement documentation and assist with matter opening procedures.\n, • Manage document production, filing and document management systems.\n, • Monitor key dates, deadlines and action points across matters.\n, • Assist with due diligence exercises and document reviews.\n, • Handle general client enquiries and facilitate effective communication between clients and fee earners.\n\n Candidate Requirements \n\n • Previous experience working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Legal Administrator within a law firm.\n, • Prior exposure to residential conveyancing work, particularly post-completion and Land Registry processes, is highly desirable.\n, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and administrative accuracy.\n, • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.\n, • A professional, collaborative and proactive approach.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Experience supporting multiple legal disciplines within private practice.\n, • Law degree, LPC, SQE or equivalent legal qualification.\n, • Previous exposure to corporate/commercial matters.\n\n What's on Offer \n\n • Opportunity to gain broad legal experience across several practice areas.\n, • Exposure to both property and corporate/commercial work.\n, • Supportive team environment within an established law firm.\n, • Six-month fixed-term contract with an immediate impact role.\n, • Full-time office-based position in Northwood.\n
