Build a sustainable future with Saica Paper. \n At Saica Paper, a division of the Saica Group, we combine innovation, expertise, and cutting-edge technology to produce 100% recycled and recyclable paper. \n Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and our circular economy business model helps create a more responsible future for generations to come. \n Are you an experienced production or manufacturing operator looking to join a business that offers excellent career progression, competitive earnings, and the opportunity to develop your technical skills \n We're looking for a Level 2 Operator to join our production team, playing a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our paper manufacturing process. \n This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or process industry experience who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working as part of a high-performing team. \n What You'll Be Doing \n As a Manufacturing Level 2 Operator, you'll support the Shift Manager and Level 1 Operators to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the paper manufacturing plant. \n You will be: \n\n • Operating the paper machine process to maximise efficiency and performance\n, • Monitoring plant performance and responding appropriately to alarms\n, • Supporting safe start-ups, shutdowns, and maintenance activities\n, • Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any specification issues\n, • Completing preventative maintenance routines and plant inspections\n, • Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards\n, • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement\n, • Promoting and maintaining high health and safety standards\n, • Completing H&S audits and reporting findings\n, • Participating in permit-to-work, risk assessment, and isolation processes\n, • Supporting environmental compliance and reporting potential issues\n, • Contributing to emergency response activities where required\n, • Assisting Level 1 Operators with fault finding and problem resolution\n, • Supporting operational and maintenance teams during shutdowns\n, • Helping drive a positive, safety-first working culture\n, • Stepping up into a Level 1 role when suitably trained and authorised\n\n What We're Looking For \n Essential \n\n • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or process environment\n, • Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards\n, • Good communication and teamwork skills\n, • Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively\n, • Proactive and continuous improvement mindset\n\n Desirable \n\n • Vocational or technical training qualification\n, • Experience working within heavy industry, paper manufacturing, or similar process industries\n, • Relevant operational training and competency sign-offs\n\n Overtime Rates: \n\n • Weekdays: 1.5x hourly rate\n, • Weekends: 2x hourly rate\n, • Bank Holidays: 2x hourly rate\n, • Special Holidays: 3x hourly rate\n\n Ready to Take the Next Step \n If you're an experienced operator looking to advance your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and development opportunities, we'd love to hear from you. \n Apply today to join our team as a Level 2 Manufacturing Operator!
