Our client, a well-established precision engineering company, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing operations within their busy production facility. The company supplies high-quality machined components to a range of industries and prides itself on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in CNC manufacturing to play a key role in driving production performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Manage and oversee daily production operations within the CNC machining facility., • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of machinists, setters, and production staff., • Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer deadlines and maximise machine utilisation., • Monitor production output, efficiency, and quality standards., • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase productivity., • Work closely with engineering, quality, and planning teams to resolve production issues., • Ensure all work complies with required quality standards, drawings, and specifications., • Maintain a strong focus on health & safety across the production environment., • Track and report on key performance indicators including output, downtime, scrap, and delivery performance. Requirements • Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership role within a CNC or precision engineering environment., • Strong understanding of CNC milling and/or turning processes., • Experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment., • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications., • Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills., • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools is beneficial., • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices such as Lean manufacturing is advantageous.
