These explain the job role and the type of person we're looking for. \n Location: Duration: Apprenticeship, Full Time \n Roles that require PVG Membership \n Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour) \n The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment. \n Job purpose/about the role \n To work in collaboration and under the supervision of Early Learning and Childcare teams to provide high quality and learner centred Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2 – 5 years \n Does interacting with children bring you joy? \nAre you eager to be an important part of supporting children's development?\nDo you have a love of nature and being outdoors? \n\nIf so, this is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate and skilled Outdoor Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) team at Duthie Park Outdoor Nursery, whilst training to become a practitioner. Please note that this position is within an Outdoor ELC provision, so desire, ability and love of being outside in all weathers is essential. The post holder needs to hold as a minimum: • Good written/numerical skills gained through either Standard Grades/National 4 or 5 qualification(s) or, • Ability to communicate effectively. This will include non-verbal, verbal and written forms of communication • have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 (all jobs)\n, • looked after young people, those that are in continuing care or are a care leaver up to the age of 29 (all jobs)\n, • are aged 16-24 and live in Aberdeen City or have been to an Aberdeen City Council school and are applying for a Modern Apprenticeship (except Trades apprenticeships)\n, • have done a Foundation Apprenticeship with Aberdeen City Council and are applying for any apprenticeships relevant to the area in which they did their Foundation Apprenticeship\n
