We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join the Engineering function at our Ossett Production Facility. In this role you will provide full technical engineering support to the Production function under the leadership of the Engineering Maintenance Manager. You will assume responsibility for the mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment by carrying out the following • Effective planned maintenance inspections, reviewing frequencies and parts used., • Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on equipment in line with legislation and best practice., • Overhaul and repair of plant; continually monitor plant conditions and report defects., • Complete stores requisitions for parts and contract services, • Perform in depth RCA for breakdowns and process failure., • Help generate and maintain compliance to SOPs/ Risk Assessments. Carry out work in a standardised way., • Report plant performance using appropriate company systems and ensure action on/communication of non-conformance issues., • Ensure operational key information is effectively communicated to colleagues and other shift teams; complete any relevant documentation on time and in full. Shift pattern as follows 2 days 2 nights, 5 off / 2 days 3 nights, 4 off / 3 days, 2 nights, 5 off (14 shifts across 28 days, 7 days and 7 nights). • Formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience., • Continuous improvement experience., • RCA., • PLC automation skills would be beneficial but not required., • Training experience., • Act as the team champions of good engineering standards., • Must be a team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility/ownership., • Flexibility around working hours. I am looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required to join a National company, based on site in Dewsbury. You will be working as part of a small team of engineers, carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs. Hours of work are 40 a week and the team cover from 5am to 6pm. You will collaborate closely with process, mechanical, structural, and civil engineers, as well as project managers and clients, to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality design solutions. Key Responsibilities • Develop piping layouts and 3D models using CAD/plant design software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, E3D, or PDMS)., • Prepare piping general arrangements (GAs), isometric drawings, and pipe support details., • Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and piping line lists, ensuring accuracy and traceability., • Conduct piping flexibility and stress analysis in collaboration with mechanical engineers., • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (ASME B31.3, EN 13480, etc.) and client specifications., • Coordinate with process engineers to confirm line sizing, materials of construction, and tie-in points., • Interface with equipment vendors for nozzle orientation, connection details, and layout integration., • Support hazard reviews (HAZOP, HAZID) and design reviews., • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and site visits as required., • Contribute to continuous improvement in design methods, quality, and efficiency. JOB – Design Engineer (HVAC / BMS) LOCATION – Wakefield TERM – Permanent SALARY – £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a leading Building Services and Controls Engineering company based in Wakefield, specialising in the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS) for commercial and industrial environments. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Design Engineer with experience in HVAC and BMS systems.
