Further Information about the UCL Cancer Institute and Division of Medicine can be found on our websites: / About the role The post holder acts as the interface and conduit for information transfer relating to building maintenance and operations between the building service providers (UCL Estates and the PFI contracted Facilities Management company) and relevant Research Institutes (The Cancer Institute and Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research). The post holder ensures provision of some specialist & safety related equipment repairs and maintenance service contracts (not included in Estates / FM contracted services). The post holder provides support for space management within the Paul O'Gorman Building in partnership with appropriate colleagues. This role is a fixed term maternity cover from April to December 2026, and will also be available as a secondment for internal UCL candidates. Shortlisting and interviews are expected to take place in the New Year, interview dates will be confirmed after the holiday period. About you Successful candidates must have a degree in Science, preferably with a higher degree which has incorporated working in a research laboratory and understand the implications of complying/not complying with health and safety and best practice. Understanding of Procurement procedures and a commitment to providing a high quality service to internal and external users are both essential for the role. Experience of buildings and/or space management and of comprehensive line management are a must.
