We are looking for someone with; * An in depth, up to date knowledge of taxation with experience of advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses & PE-backed groups. * Experience of advising on M&A transactions (e.g. tax structuring and/or due diligence, buy and sell-side). * Experience of managing a portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries, together with cash collection. * Ability to provide Corporation Tax Compliance and Advisory services to a wide range of clients using resource from a shared service team or via technology tools. * An active interest in developing the team, both technically and commercially, through effective delegation and acting as a role model. * An understanding of potential risks to the Firm in relation to the Firm’s quality control procedures. * Experience of leading complex projects and dealing with complex tax issues. * Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent. Just as key will be acting as a tax accounting specialist to our non-audit clients, assisting with complex provisioning engagements and the tax accounting aspects of GAAP conversions, carve out accounting and acquisition accounting. You will be responsible for a number of tax audits, acting as the point of contact with the main audit team, and working closely with junior staff and tax partners to deliver this work.
