Southend has recently undertaken a complete review of its constitution and this post presents an excellent and attractive opportunity for a highly motivated person to work at the heart of the authority in collaboration with elected councillors and senior leaders. You will be responsible for managing and delivering the servicing of Council, Cabinet, committees and all other councillor level bodies. You will act as a key advisor on a range of governance matters ensuring compliance with the relevant legal requirements, the constitution and other procedures and practices. As a Senior Lead, you will have a lead role in the management and delivery of Parliamentary, Greater Essex mayoral and local elections as well as supporting the preservation of the ceremonial mayoralty and City and ancient Borough status for Southend-on-Sea. This role will be offered on a hybrid basis (a blend of working from home and office). To meet the demands of this role, the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office at least twice a week with attendance at evening meetings as necessary. We are looking to recruit an Electrical Estimator for an £10m turnover Electrical Contractor based in Hertfordshire. Role Purpose The Electrical Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates for new-build industrial projects across the UK. This includes large-scale facilities such as manufacturing plants, logistics centres, warehouses and office developments. The role provides essential commercial and technical support throughout the tendering process, helping secure profitable work while ensuring alignment with client specifications and relevant UK standards. About The Company We carry out disabled home adaptations, working closely with Local Authorities, Home Improvement Agencies and Housing Associations. Due to ongoing development, we are now looking to recruit an experienced bathroom installer to carry out wet room room experience is desirable, but considerations will be made for the right candidate. Main duties will include; (but not limited to) Preparation of works area (sheeting up etc). Rip out existing bathroom. Capping off and isolating services, re-routing service pipework. Prepare floor (timber or concrete) to receive and fit wet floor former including drainage. Prepare surfaces ready to receive wall tiling and floor finishes. Carry out all second fixings, re-siting or fitting new radiators. Clearing and tidying site ensuring all rubbish is disposed. Following site instructions, including schedules of work and technical drawings. Always offering a high level of customer service.
