We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic and growing consultancy, supporting high-profile projects. The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will: • Prepare and agree on interim payment applications., • Agree and settle Final Accounts with Employers., • Identify events and issue notices for variations/compensation events., • Evaluate and agree on variations/compensation events., • Issue contractual notices and draft contractual communications., • Prepare, evaluate, and submit extension of time entitlements., • Provide support on claims or problematic projects, including formal disputes (e.g., adjudication or mediation)., • Procure sub-contractors and manage their accounts, variations, and final agreements., • Produce accurate cost and value reconciliations and outturn financial reporting., • Manage assistant or graduate commercial team members., • Continue professional development and enrol in RICS/ICES programs. Experience: • Tier 1 Contractor or a large Tier 2 involved in Infrastructure activities., • Experience working independently on projects or closely with a Senior QS., • 4-5 years post-graduate experience., • Sound understanding of contractual terms (NEC) and/or other contracts., • Experience in preparing cost and value reconciliations and outturn financial reporting., • Knowledge of supply chain procurement and managing sub-contractor accounts., • Understanding or experience with construction claims procedures (e.g., adjudication or mediation)., • Competent in all aspects of change management and maximising interim payment opportunities., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting commercial notices. Skills/Qualifications: • BSc in Quantity Surveying., • Advancing membership with RICS or ICES., • Current CSCS card., • Own transport and a valid driving license., • Willingness to work away up to 2 nights/week – Essential, • Enthusiastic, keen to learn, and willing to work outside current comfort zone. Salary & Benefits (PAYE): Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum. Bonus: Up to 10% of salary (50% company performance, 50% individual performance). Car/Allowance: £4,500 – £5,500 per annum + £0.35/mile (paid from home address). Pension: 8% employer contribution (staff contribute 1 - 8%). Healthcare: Individual cover (family cover as salary sacrifice). Holidays: 28 days plus Bank Holidays (no requirement to use leave for 2-3 days over Christmas).
