Role Overview As an EC&I Engineer, you’ll support the design, development, and delivery of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation systems for complex engineering projects. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help ensure systems are safe, reliable, and meet customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Assist in designing EC&I systems from concept to commissioning, • Produce and review technical documentation:, • Electrical schematics, cable schedules, panel layouts, • Control philosophies and functional design specs, • Develop PLC/HMI software (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider), • Collaborate with mechanical and safety teams for integrated designs, • Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities, • Liaise with suppliers and contribute to design reviews, • Provide input to project planning and proposals Skills & Experience • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, or similar, • Experience with PLC/HMI systems and CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical), • Understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and motor control, • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. BS EN 60204, BS 7671), • Strong communication and documentation skills, • Full UK driving licence (travel may be required) Desirable • Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. Nuclear, Defence), • Knowledge of functional safety standards and tools (e.g. SISTEMA) Benefits • Flexible working hours, • Salary sacrifice pension scheme, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, • Option to buy up to 3 extra holidays, • Long service awards, • Employee referral scheme
