The Role This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally passionate about operational excellence and the philosophy of Ayurveda. You will lead and cook with a high-performing kitchen team, maintain exceptional food quality and consistency, and ensure every dish reflects the values and standards of Amma & Atta. Working closely with the Founder and culinary team, you will help bring an exciting vision of modern, health-led Indian cuisine to life. Essential Experience • 8+ years of professional kitchen experience, • 3+ years as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, • Proven experience in premium fast casual or high-volume restaurant operations, • Strong leadership and people management skills, • Experience managing busy lunch services and high-volume production, • Food Safety Level 3 certification, • Excellent HACCP and allergen management knowledge, • Strong understanding of food cost control, stock management, and labour planning, • Experience training and developing kitchen teams Essential Requirement: Ayurveda & Indian Cuisine This role requires genuine knowledge and experience of Ayurvedic cooking principles and Indian cuisine. The successful candidate should demonstrate: • Practical experience cooking authentic Indian food, • A strong understanding of Ayurvedic ingredients and traditional cooking methods, • Knowledge of balancing flavours and ingredients according to Ayurvedic principles, • Experience preparing fresh, wholesome, ingredient-led food from scratch, • Passion for creating nourishing, seasonal, health-conscious menus, • An appreciation of food as a foundation for wellbeing and preventative health Formal Ayurvedic culinary training or professional experience working in an Ayurvedic kitchen is highly desirable.
