Senior Sales & Marketing Executive £40k - £45k per annum Redditch The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales & Marketing Executive to take ownership of key customer relationships, generate new business, grow existing accounts and help shape the organisations wider marketing strategy. This is a senior, commercially focused role with no direct line-management responsibility, suited to someone who is confident working independently while collaborating closely with Sales, Operations, Planning and Marketing teams. You will manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, service delivery, account development and ongoing relationship management, while identifying opportunities for sustainable commercial growth. You must have experience working in the any of the following sectors to be considered for this role: Transport Logistics Touring Live Events Production Entertainment Fast-paced service environments Key Responsibilities Customer Account Management Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts. Build strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. Act as a primary point of contact for customers. Understand customer requirements, upcoming projects and future opportunities. Conduct customer meetings, account reviews and relationship-development activity. Identify opportunities to increase account value through additional services. Resolve customer concerns and service issues professionally. Develop account plans for strategically important customers. Represent the organisation at customer meetings, networking events and industry events. Build relationships with senior stakeholders and key industry contacts. Sales & Commercial Management Prepare accurate and commercially viable quotations. Work with operational teams to develop appropriate customer solutions. Proactively follow up quotations and progress opportunities. Negotiate pricing and commercial arrangements within agreed authority levels. Monitor account profitability and commercial performance. Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and develop existing accounts. Support customer contract negotiations and commercial documentation. Maintain accurate records of quotations and commercial activity. Balance customer requirements with operational capability and profitability. Business Development Take an active role in generating new business. Identify prospective customers, sectors, projects and commercial opportunities. Carry out market research to identify potential new business. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline. Proactively approach prospects by telephone, email, networking and face-to-face meetings. Develop relationships with key decision-makers. Prepare and deliver customer proposals and presentations. Convert opportunities into new customer relationships and revenue. Generate business through referrals, networking and existing industry contacts. Identify cross-selling and account-development opportunities. Attend exhibitions, networking events and industry events. Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to pipeline reviews and forecasting. Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and industry developments. Marketing Strategy & Campaigns Help develop and coordinate the organisations marketing strategy. Ensure marketing activity supports sales and business-development objectives. Develop marketing plans covering campaigns, sectors, projects and events. Identify target audiences, messaging and appropriate marketing channels. Develop and maintain a structured marketing and content calendar. Support campaigns focused on customer acquisition, account growth, retention and brand awareness. Develop concepts and briefs for case studies, customer stories and thought-leadership content. Provide marketing briefs and priorities to colleagues responsible for digital and content delivery. Review marketing and social media content where required. Monitor campaign, website, social media and lead-generation performance. Monitor competitor marketing and wider industry trends. Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, exhibitions and promotional activity. Support the development of marketing collateral, presentations and promotional materials. Maintain consistency of brand positioning, messaging and tone of voice. Industry & Operational Coordination Develop an understanding of the operational requirements associated with tours, events, productions and commercial projects. Work closely with Planning and Operations to develop effective solutions. Ensure customer requirements and commercial commitments are communicated accurately. Maintain awareness of key customer schedules and upcoming projects. Support the resolution of complex operational and customer-service issues. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer commitments can be delivered. Maintain communication with customers throughout significant projects. Support successful delivery from initial enquiry through to completion and post-project review. Use completed projects to identify future account-development opportunities. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and provide direction without having formal management responsibility. Essential Experience & Skills Significant experience in sales, account management, business development or a similar commercial role. Proven experience managing and developing customer accounts. Demonstrable experience winning new business. Experience growing existing customer relationships commercially. Strong commercial awareness covering revenue, profitability, retention and account growth. Experience contributing to or developing marketing strategies and campaigns. Strong understanding of B2B marketing, social media and digital marketing. Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers. Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills. Experience preparing commercial proposals, quotations and presentations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to turn commercial objectives into practical sales and marketing activity. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple customer, sales and marketing priorities independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using CRM or customer-management systems. Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, copyright and reputational risk. Desirable Experience B2B sales and business development. Structured marketing plans and campaign calendars.
