For fifty years, the biggest sportswear brands on earth have been selling you plastic. They did it because plastic is cheap, and they spent billions on marketing to make sure you never asked what you were wearing. \n \n Nero exists to end that. We make premium men's activewear from natural fibres only. Ten years from now there will be a generational brand that took this fight to the incumbents and won. It's going to be built by a small team of people who were in the room early, and who were hungry enough to outwork companies a thousand times their size. We are hiring for that room. \n The Role \n We launch new product every month, out of a UK and a US warehouse. Right now the founder is the person who books the freight, chases the factory, sets up the products in Shopify and finds out first when a date slips. That's your job now. \n \n Your job is to put the right numbers in front of him every week, and then make sure everything he's decided actually happens, on time, in the right warehouse, looking right on the site. \n \n What you'll own \n \n Inbound: ex-works to live on site \n\n • Every shipment from our factories into our UK and US 3PLs. Booking freight, customs paperwork, ASNs, packing lists, carton labelling, set up correctly before the goods arrive, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be received\n, • Generate new barcodes and SKU's for new products\n, • Packaging orders on time and sent to suppliers so purchase orders don't get delayed.\n, • 3PL inbound appointments and receipt confirmation. If the warehouse counts don't match the packing list, you know first and you've already raised it\n, • Landed cost per SKU tracked on every PO. You'll work with an external freight and customs specialist on classification, duty and tariff refunds, you own the paperwork and the follow-through\n, • The inbound critical path for every launch. Product owns the dates up to ex-works; you own ex-works → freight → customs → 3PL receipt → live. Both halves live in one launch calendar, and if your date moves, you say so the day it moves, not when someone asks\n\n \n Warehouse and orders \n\n • Problem orders and shipment delays across both warehouses. Find the root cause, fix it, and make sure it can't happen again\n, • Reserve stock on every PO, influencer seeding, VIP gifting, returns buffer, tracked and protected so we never run out when it matters\n, • Stock accuracy between Shopify and the 3PLs, in both countries, all year\n\n \n Shopify and catalogue \n\n • Set up every product, variant and SKU in Shopify, correctly, first time, and metafields\n, • SKU naming, barcodes and product data across Shopify and both 3PLs, no discrepancies that cause a receiving or listing problem\n\n \n Reporting \n\n • A one-page weekly sell-through report, by product, colour, size and market, with your recommendation on it. The founder decides. You built the page that made the decision easy\n, • Hero product in-stock tracking, launch on-time tracking, inbound accuracy\n, • Returns-reason analysis, and process for reducing returns\n\n \n Automation and SOPs \n\n • Look at every manual process you touch, decide it's not good enough, automate it with Claude, and write the SOP so it survives beyond you\n, • Nobody is going to hand you a process document for this role. You're going to write it\n\n \n What good looks like in 90 days \n\n • Inbound and launch critical paths are completely off the founder's plate\n, • The weekly sell-through page exists, it's one page, and the founder reads it\n, • You've rebuilt at least one process that was broken when you arrived, and the SOP is written\n, • You've caught a problem, a date, a count, a missing document, before it cost us a launch\n\n \n Where this goes \n We're not hiring a coordinator to stay a coordinator. Do this well and you're Operations Lead within 12 months, running demand planning inputs and the 3PL relationships in two countries. Do that well and you're Head of Operations, with the ops hires under you. The company is going to be three times bigger than it is now; the question is whether you're the person who grew with it or the person we had to hire above. \n \n Who this is for \n\n • One to three years in operations, order management, supply chain or ecommerce ops, and you've outgrown being one cog in a big machine\n, • Excel and spreadsheets are second nature.\n, • Shopify experience is a must.\n, • You use AI like a power tool, not a novelty.\n, • You have something to prove\n\n \n Benefits \n\n • Base salary: £35k-£45k.\n, • Performance bonus, paid quarterly.\n, • Hybrid work with Northern Quarter Manchester office.\n, • Fast, real progression.\n\n \n Apply here: https://forms.gle/UvHuQYuLd4HrzMFd9
