Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Large Scale Chemist to join our manufacturing and scale-up teams. The Role As a Large Scale Chemist, you will play a central role in scale-up activities, operating reactors in the 50Lā100L range while working in line with company safety standards and SOPs. You will support the delivery of reliable, high-quality outputs and collaborate closely with colleagues across the business. Key Responsibilities ⢠Perform kilo-scale chemistry with minimal supervision, ⢠Operate large-scale reactor processes safely and effectively, ⢠Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping, ⢠Write weekly reports with support and guidance, ⢠Review completed documentation for accuracy and compliance, ⢠Identify and report issues relating to paperwork or documentation, ⢠Comply fully with company SOPs and training requirements, ⢠Communicate delays, challenges, or issues clearly and constructively About You We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detailāoriented, and motivated to develop their career in largeāscale and manufacturing chemistry within a regulated scientific environment. You enjoy handsāon chemistry and take pride in working safely and accurately at scale. You understand the importance of following SOPs, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards, and ensuring documentation is completed clearly, accurately, and on time. You will be comfortable working independently on defined tasks while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture. You are organised and proactive in your approach, able to manage your daily workload effectively while remaining aware of project timelines and operational priorities. You communicate clearly and constructively, raising potential issues early and supporting the team in meeting shared goals and deadlines.
