Due to business growth and creation of a new business unit, we are looking to recruit a driven Contract Manager for an expanding FM Business based in Wakefield. The successful candidate will begin by managing a portfolio of Mechanical & Electrical service contracts, including small project works. This role provides the opportunity to work in a supportive, employee focused environment, building around expertise in M&E compliance, planned maintenance, reactive works, and small-scale project delivery while providing excellent service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a background working with the Facilities Management sector with technical knowledge of M+E works. You must be a strong communicator and have demonstrable experience in developing client relationships. This role will primarily be based on site in Wakefield with occasional travel to meet with clients. Mon Friday 8.30AM 5PM Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage M&E service contracts, ensuring service delivery meets contractual obligations and client expectations. Coordinate and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and minor projects (up to £25K in value) for mechanical and electrical systems. Work closely with the helpdesk team to allocate and monitor M&E jobs, ensuring completion within agreed SLAs. Liaise with and manage specialist M&E contractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation, statutory requirements, and service agreements. Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding M&E activities. Monitor contract performance, KPIs, and compliance records, producing regular reports for senior management. Assist with budget management, cost control, and financial tracking of small projects. Identify opportunities for service improvements and energy efficiency initiatives within M&E operations. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements at all times. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in Contract/ Account Management within M&E services or facilities management Good understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance processes, statutory compliance, and relevant regulations. Experience managing small projects, ideally up to £10K in value. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and contractors. Knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, and M&E contract management principles. Understanding of health & safety and statutory requirements within M&E services. Desirable Qualifications IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (preferred but not essential). Relevant M&E, engineering, or building services qualification. TPBN1_UKTJ
