Key Responsibilities • Support children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)., • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individual and small-group interventions., • Adapt activities and resources to meet pupils’ individual learning, communication, and sensory needs., • Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development., • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour., • Observe, monitor, and record pupils’ progress and share feedback with staff and parents as appropriate., • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment., • Build positive relationships Person Specification • Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting., • Good English and Maths skills., • Strong communication and relationship-building skills., • Patient, caring, and able to engage and support pupils., • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team., • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing, • Experience supporting pupils with SEND. Desirable • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or training., • Experience supporting pupils with SEND., • Knowledge of the primary curriculum., • Experience delivering interventions or small-group support., • First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training)., • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
