We are looking for a caring, patient, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a primary SEN school in Bolton, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs. About the Role: In this rewarding role, you will support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of needs including autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and complex learning challenges. Working closely with class teachers and specialist staff, you will play a key role in delivering personalised support that enables every child to engage, learn, and develop. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs, • Assist in delivering structured, engaging, and sensory-friendly learning activities, • Support communication using methods such as PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables, • Help manage behaviour positively and consistently, following individual support plans, • Promote pupils' independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing, • Assist with personal care where required, • Experience working with children with ASC and/or complex needs (highly desirable), • A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs, • Willingness to learn and engage in specialist training, • A supportive and welcoming school environment, • Ongoing professional development, including specialist SEN training, • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day
