The Role You will be driving our bids, business development and marketing activities within the practice, co-ordinating and managing bid submissions, as well as implementing marketing, business development and PR initiatives. Your time will be split roughly between the two areas of bids and business development, and marketing. As a key member of the Business Development and Marketing team, reporting to the team’s Director, you will work closely with all members of our senior management team. You will build strong relationships internally and externally and help BPTW secure amazing projects by co-ordinating and writing high-quality bid proposals and tender submissions. You will also contribute to building and delivering our marketing plan, managing events and PR, e-communications, social media, internal and external communications and other marketing functions. What you will bring You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated, highly organised, manage your time well to enable you to work on multiple projects concurrently, with multiple important deadlines to meet. We are looking for someone with the ability to think creatively and who can demonstrate an understanding of the needs and wants of our clients, helping to deliver a competitive advantage for BPTW in our bid and marketing work. Experience working within the housing sector / built environment will be a distinct advantage, as will experience of working on bid and tender processes. We also welcome applications from those with other experience in the architecture and construction industry looking to change career path. When shortlisting candidates, these are some of the essential criteria we will be looking for: • Experience of successfully managing the co-ordination of bid and tender submissions, • Bid-writing experience, • Experience of delivering marketing campaigns and PR initiatives, • Experience in the built-environment / housing / Architecture industry, • Experience writing e-communications and social media content, • Experience co-ordinating client relations and business development programmes, • Experience of event management, • Ability to track, monitor and assess business development and marketing data, • Ability to critically assess and appraise the work of others, • A visual eye with the ability to interrogate and appreciate architectural images would be beneficial, • A degree level or professional qualification in English, marketing, communications, business, or a similar field (or equivalent level of work experience) Why join BPTW? Salary / Benefits Depending on experience a salary between £40,000 – £45,000 is anticipated.
