In this role, you will liaise with the Councils Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Information Governance Officer regarding the use of and security of information and data assets. The role will also involve ensuring delivery in terms of both Councils objectives, Digital and Technology Strategy and appropriate security and statutory standards and guidelines. About you To succeed as Information Security Officer, you will have experience and knowledge of Cyber and Information Security compliance and how to apply this to IT systems and applications. The ability to communicate, both written and verbally, and educate stakeholders in Cyber Security is essential. You will be able to work with members of the Customer and Digital Services team in the procurement, management and integrations of systems and applications to ensure security. As an Information Security Officer, you will also have the ability to advise on IT Security compliance relevant to Horsham District Council and develop the appropriate policies and procedures.
