The business provides engineered wear-resistant components, fabrication services, and high-performance hardfacing solutions for heavy industrial environments. Role Overview This position is ideal for a TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER capable of generating new business, developing strong client relationships, and confidently representing the company across the UK. The role requires full management of the sales cycle and contributing to wider growth objectives. The successful candidate will have autonomy over their working week. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across industries such as power, aggregates, mining, steel, and other heavy engineering sectors., • Promote and sell the company’s solutions including hardfaced plate, fabrication services, and refurbishment offerings., • Build and nurture relationships with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operational stakeholders., • Engage in technical sales conversations relating to mechanical engineering, welding, fabrication, and wear protection., • Work closely with internal engineering, production, and commercial teams to ensure project success., • Deliver accurate forecasts and share market insights or competitor intelligence., • Attend relevant trade shows and customer demonstrations as required. Experience & Skills Required Essential • Proven success in technical field sales engineering role, ideally within fabrication, welding, mechanical engineering, or industrial maintenance environments., • Strong mechanical or engineering understanding, capable of discussing technical solutions with confidence., • Self-driven, target-oriented, and confident in both selling and self-presentation., • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills., • Experience of reading engineering drawings and being able to communicate at engineering/technical level, • Experience selling into heavy-industry sectors such as power stations, aggregates, mining, recycling, or steel., • Understanding of wear protection, hardfacing, or refurbishment engineering.
