We're supporting a leading manufacturer in recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to head up their engineering operations and play a key role in driving performance, reliability, and innovation across the site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership role—optimising equipment, improving processes, and enabling new product development within a fast-moving production environment. Leadership & Team Management • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians across maintenance, process engineering, and product engineering., • Set clear objectives, manage performance, and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement., • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment uptime and reliability., • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment issues and implement corrective actions., • Optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost control., • Introduce Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and boost throughput., • Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition from design to manufacture., • Work closely with Design and R&D teams on manufacturability and scalability., • Deliver productivity enhancements, downtime reduction and quality improvements., • Analyse production data, identify trends, and implement strategic corrective plans., • Ensure compliance with ISO, health & safety, and environmental standards., • Maintain robust documentation for audits and regulatory requirements. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred)., • 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering with proven leadership responsibilities., • Strong understanding of maintenance systems, process optimisation, and product lifecycle management., • Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies., • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
