Senior Technical Designer Our client is a leading Design & Build workplace fit-out specialist shaping some of Londons most distinctive and design-led commercial environments. As their portfolio continues to grow, they are seeking a Senior Technical Designer who can transform ambitious creative concepts into precise, production-ready technical packages. This role calls for a detail-obsessed problem solver someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and construction. You will collaborate fluidly with design, engineering and manufacturing teams, ensuring that every idea is not only inspiring, but intelligently resolved and delivered to the highest standard from first sketch to final handover. The Role As Senior Technical Designer, you will: Interpret and interrogate client briefs, working from Concept and Commercial documentation to ensure technical clarity from the outset. Conduct comprehensive building surveys both measured and photographic across project demises, forming the foundation for accurate and fully detailed construction drawing packages. Collaborate closely with internal project teams and external stakeholders to maintain alignment between design intent, budget parameters and technical feasibility. Liaise directly with Building Control and Planning authorities where required, preparing and submitting drawings and documentation with confidence and precision. Champion drawing and document standards, ensuring consistency, rigour and best practice across all technical outputs. What Youll Bring The ability to guide and support the concept team, embedding compliance, efficiency and cost-awareness into beautifully considered technical solutions. Experience contributing to technical drawings for pitches and submissions when needed helping to translate vision into credible, buildable proposals. Confidence in producing comprehensive drawing packages and supporting documentation that communicate clearly to both clients and contractors. A meticulous approach to coordinating construction packs alongside specialist contractor drawings. A strong working knowledge of statutory requirements, including Building Control, Fire, Environmental Health and Planning, with the confidence to design in full compliance. Advanced proficiency in REVIT (architectural), using it as a precise design and coordination tool rather than simply drafting software. Whats On Offer Competitive annual salary.
