Overview As a backend-focused Java professional, you will build low-latency, high-throughput applications for financial services. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to deliver robust Java/Spring-based services, integrate market connectivity (FIX) and messaging (JMS/MQ/Kafka), and ensure quality through TDD and CI/CD practices. The role combines core Java expertise with cloud/Microservices and containerization to support scalable, reliable trading workflows. You will partner with engineering and operations to maintain performance and stability in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesDevelop Java/Spring-based backend services with emphasis on performance and reliabilityIntegrate market connectivity using FIX protocol and related toolingWork with messaging systems (JMS, MQ, EMS, Kafka) for inter-service communicationRely on RDBMS concepts with Oracle, Sybase, or MS SQL for data persistenceImplement cloud-native microservices and containerization approachesAdhere to test-driven development and established development standardsCollaborate in an Agile environment and participate in the software development lifecyclePerform Unix/Linux scripting and contribute to CI/CD pipelinesEngage in analysis and troubleshooting, taking ownership of tasks and multitasking Key requirementsJava proficiency with strong Spring/Spring Boot experienceExperience with Java NIO (Channels, Buffers, Selectors)Expert knowledge of FIX protocol and market connectivityLow-latency programming expertiseExperience with JMS, MQ, EMS or KafkaStrong RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL)Cloud experience with microservices and containerization (big plus)Test driven development and adherence to development standardsUnix/Linux scripting experienceExperience with CI/CD tools and Agile lifecyclesBasic proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PPT, Excel)Bachelor degree or equivalent experienceFinancial services domain experienceExcellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, take ownership, troubleshoot and multitaskAnalytical thinkingClear communicationIndependent ownershipJavaSpringSpring Boot
