They’re now looking for a Consultant to join their expanding team. The Role You’ll support the delivery of consultancy and innovation projects spanning nature markets, natural capital assessment, nature-based solutions, and green investment. This is a flexible, fixed-term position that’s perfect for someone ready to apply their analytical and technical skills in a fast-moving, mission-led environment. You’ll get involved in: • Research & Analysis – assessing carbon, biodiversity net gain, nutrient neutrality, and natural flood management opportunities., • GIS & Mapping Support – producing spatial analyses, ecological baselines, and land-use assessments (QGIS, ArcGIS or similar)., • Market & Policy Intelligence – contributing to work on environmental finance, regulatory trends, and nature market innovation., • Reporting & Communication – preparing reports, proposals, and presentations, and client interaction and workshops., • Project Coordination – supporting meetings, tracking actions, and sharing insights across the team. As you grow, there’s real scope to take ownership of defined workstreams and develop your own area of expertise. Person Specification Essential • Proven research and analytical skills (ideally in environmental, economic, or land-use contexts)., • Some experience using GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar)., • Strong written and verbal communication — clear, structured, and concise., • Familiarity with nature-based solutions, biodiversity, and/or green finance., • Reliable, organised, and proactive — happy juggling varied priorities., • A genuine commitment to environmental regeneration and systems change. Desirable • Academic background in ecology, environmental economics, geography, or natural resource management., • Understanding of UK nature markets (BNG, carbon codes, nutrient neutrality, natural flood management)., • Experience engaging with landowners, local authorities, NGOs, or nature recovery projects., • Awareness of the UK’s environmental data and mapping platforms (e.g. Magic Map, UKHab, Defra datasets).
