We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing Provider in the North West, who are recruiting for a permanent Damp and Mould Surveyor to cover Oldham and Rochdale. This is a permanent position, with the salary for the role being £44,414 plus a company vehicle, as well as extensive list of benefits. The ideal candidate will be available to start in January/ February 2026. The ideal candidate will have extensive damp, mould experience and happy liaising with tenants in a friendly manner and explaining the causes of Damp and Mould. Duties will include (but are not limited to): • Conducting detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify damp and mould issues, • Working knowledge of Awaab’s law, • Assessing moisture sources, condensation levels, and ventilation performance, • Diagnosing causes of damp, including rising damp, penetrating damp, and condensation, • Using specialist equipment to measure humidity, moisture content, and air quality, • Recording findings accurately and producing clear technical reports, • Recommending remedial actions in line with housing standards and best practice, • Advising occupants and landlords on prevention and maintenance measures, • Liaising with landlords, contractors, and housing officers regarding findings, • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and housing regulations, • Monitoring follow-up works and verifying effectiveness of remedial treatments Experience/Qualifications required: • Experience carrying out Damp and Mould Surveys, • Experience liaising with tenants in a friendly manner, • Experience in finding the root cause of Damp and Mould, • HNC or equivalent qualifications Working hours: • 35 hours per week, • 08:30 – 16:00, • Monday – Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
