Regional Senior Reward Manager UK&I Reporting to: Global Reward Director Location: In region, requirement to be in the Leicester office 2-3 days per week with less frequent travel to London. Role Purpose: Support the effective implementation of the Hays’ global reward strategy across the region, ensuring globally anchored, performance-orientated, affordable, competitive, consistent and simple compensation and benefit practices. Implement global frameworks grounded in the Willis Towers Watson (WTW) Global Grading System (GGS) and informed by WTW remuneration, benefits, and market practice survey data. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver the regional reward strategy, ensuring alignment to global principles and standards across both sales and enabling functions. This involves translating global directives into regionally appropriate practices, maintaining consistency whilst addressing local needs, and supporting performance-driven reward structures that reflect the company’s culture and objectives., • Lead the design of sales compensation schemes, applying global guidelines to create frameworks that drive motivation, retention, and achievement. Take responsibility for implementing global principles, ensuring that compensation plans are competitive, compliant, and accessible, whilst also providing guidance on adjustments required by local market conditions., • Localise global pay structures by utilising Willis Towers Watson (WTW) survey data and adhering to statutory requirements. Adapt these frameworks to fit regional nuances, benchmarking against local market rates, and making necessary modifications to ensure fairness and compliance. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that pay structures remain relevant and effective., • Support the delivery of global annual processes within the region, including base pay reviews, the administration of short- and long-term incentive programmes, and the renewal and enhancement of employee benefits schemes. Provide insight and guidance to ensure that these processes are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in line with both global and regional policies., • Advise the People & Culture team and business leaders on compensation-related matters such as new hire offers, employee promotions, and organisational restructures. Offer in-depth expertise to ensure decisions are made in accordance with reward policies, market benchmarks, and statutory requirements, contributing to the attraction and retention of talent., • Oversee the provision of regional employee benefits and manage vendor relationships, ensuring that offerings remain competitive, cost-effective, and compliant. Conduct regular reviews of benefits provision, negotiate with providers, and handle queries or issues that arise, maintaining a high standard of service for employees., • Ensure that all reward practices and policies comply with local legislation and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits, keep abreast of legislative changes, and proactively advise the business on necessary updates to maintain compliance and mitigate risk., • Manage, develop, and mentor the regional reward team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Provide coaching and guidance to enhance team capabilities, support professional development, and build succession plans. Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to ensure the team delivers exceptional results. Experience: • A deep understanding of sales compensation ideally in the recruitment industry., • Experience of leading a small regional reward team., • Strong regional reward knowledge and labour market insight., • Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple countries and/ or multiple levels of seniority., • Expertise in compensation, benefits, and reward governance., • Strong understanding of WTW, or similar, job evaluation and survey methodologies.
