forgd is the consultancy partnering exclusively with Anthropic to help enterprises build AI-native businesses. We start with engineering — helping organizations move from individual developers using Claude Code to entire teams shipping together with AI-native workflows — and expand into agentic solution delivery and broader business transformation. Our conviction is that engineers are uniquely positioned to lead this transformation. The strongest mental model for designing, deploying, and governing AI agents in production lives in software engineering. The teams that change how their organization builds software are the same teams equipped to shepherd the rest of the business into this new world. We embed and co-build with customer teams. Cycles are short, delivery is iterative and accountable to clear outcome goals. As an Applied AI Architect, you embed with enterprise customers and own the technical work across the full customer journey — initial demos, short proof-of-value engagements, and multi-week implementations. The work moves customers from interesting prototypes to production capability. Most engagements start in engineering. You'll work with customer engineering teams adopting Claude Code and redesigning their SDLC — code review, requirements, testing, documentation, and governance. From there, the work expands: co-building agentic applications and modernizing legacy systems on the Claude developer platform, and partnering with business stakeholders to deploy agents into core operations like sales, customer service, and finance. You're the expert in the room on how engineers work with Claude Code, what an agentic application looks like in production, and what has to change in an organization to sustain either. You build prototypes, ship code, run workshops, write specs, and make the calls that move customers from demos to deployment. Collaborate directly with Anthropic on customer engagements — joint working sessions, early access to product changes, and a direct line to their product and engineering teams. Lead Claude Code Labs and customer workshops Take customer teams from beginner to power user across Claude Code, Claude for Work, Cowork, and the developer platform Codify deployment patterns and feed them back to forgd's methodology and Anthropic's product teams Lead discovery into customer environments — engineering toolchains and workflows, business operations, and organizational dynamics — and turn that into clear technical plans Advise on how AI-native development changes existing engineering practices: issue management, branching, testing, code review, and security Guide adoption programs that scale Claude across engineering organizations and into business teams Scope engagements: assumptions, risks, milestones, and dependencies Embed with customer teams to co-build agentic applications on the Claude developer platform Build technical artifacts — evaluation frameworks, MCP servers, sub-agents, and deployment configurations — tailored to the customer's stack What Success Looks Like Customers move from proof-of-value to production Engineering teams measurably change how they ship software Customers become references Accounts expand on the strength of the work You May Be a Good Fit If You Have 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role — Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Consultant — or in a hands-on engineering role as a Software Engineer or Product Engineer Software development experience in a high-scale startup or enterprise environment; you know what it takes to write, ship, and operate production code Production experience with LLMs — prompt engineering, agent design, and evaluation frameworks. Power user of Claude Code or equivalent AI coding assistants; you live in AI-native development yourself Familiarity with enterprise development toolchains, CI/CD, and modern SDLC practices, and cloud-native deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure Communication skills that work across the room — individual contributors, engineering leadership, and business stakeholders High agency and comfort with ambiguity; you operate autonomously in customer environments Background in professional services or consulting Track record leading developer productivity or developer experience at scale Vertical experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries Experience driving organizational change Work at the frontier: Direct partnership with Anthropic — joint engagements, early access to product changes, and working sessions with their Applied AI team Founding team: You shape how we work and grow as we scale Remote: Fully remote across North American and European time zones Compensation and benefits: Competitive salary, equity, and full benefits We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. Research shows people from underrepresented groups often hesitate unless they meet every requirement, and we don't want you to exclude yourself prematurely. If you're excited about AI-native engineering and want to help enterprises change how they build software, we'd love to hear from you. forgd is an equal opportunity employer. Console is building the AI agents that power autonomous enterprises. We use AI to autonomously resolve IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Security, and Ops tasks the moment they come in from Slack or Teams. We're building toward a future where enterprise operations are fully autonomous; with no tickets, approvals, or manual processes slowing companies down. Our platform enables companies like Databricks, Figma, and Cursor to delegate entire categories of work to AI agents that understands their org, takes action across systems, and gets smarter over time. We've raised $29M, backed by Thrive Capital (investors in OpenAI, Stripe, GitHub) and a small group of founders who have built category-defining companies. We’re unusually selective about the people we work with. We hire builders who span functions, optimize for speed, and care deeply about their craft. We do not care about pedigree. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Join us. We’re hiring a Research Engineer to push Console’s core agent loop from powerful to truly self-improving. As more customers rely on Console to automate critical back‑office operations, we need engineers who can turn real production traffic into better agents, evals, and specialist models. This role sits at the intersection of applied AI engineering and research. You’ll build the systems that let us measure, debug, and improve agent behavior in real‑world conditions: production traces, offline replay, labeling workflows, eval harnesses, prompt and program optimization, and fine‑tuning loops for high‑volume agent tasks. One of your first major focus areas will be improving how Console’s agents reason over complex enterprise context. Our agents need to understand users, apps, devices, tickets, licenses, policies, and customer‑specific data well enough to answer questions and take action reliably. You’ll help turn this into a compounding optimization loop: using production traces, evals, assisted labeling, prompt/program optimization, and targeted model adaptation to make the system measurably better over time. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to ship improvements into production quickly, while helping define what research at Console looks like as we scale. You’ll build and improve AI systems that operate in real‑world conditions, where reliability, speed, cost, and adaptability matter. At Console, you will: • Build the eval and optimization loop for Console’s core agents, turning real production usage into measurable improvements in quality, latency, and reliability, • Systematically improve agent behavior across prompts, programs, routing logic, constraints, and model adaptations, applying techniques like DSPy and GEPA where useful, • Fine‑tune, adapt, and evaluate specialist models for repeatable, high‑volume agent tasks where Console has clear production feedback or verifiable quality signals, • Work across the stack when needed, from traces and eval infrastructure to agent orchestration, product workflows, and customer‑facing AI behavior You’re a product‑minded research engineer who enjoys building real systems people depend on. You’ll likely have: • Strong technical background in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI, demonstrated through an advanced degree and/or equivalent experience building production AI systems, • Strong software engineering fundamentals and good judgment for designing, building, and debugging complex systems, • Experience building evals for AI systems, including datasets, judges, metrics, offline replay, tracing, or regression testing, • Practical understanding of modern model adaptation and post‑training methods, including LoRA/QLoRA, SFT, distillation, preference optimization, reward modeling, DPO/GRPO, and reinforcement learning from verifiable feedback, • Ownership mindset: you drive projects end‑to‑end, move quickly from real usage, and care about shipping measurable improvements, • Enjoy following SOTA research into new models, agent architectures, evals, post‑training methods, and optimization techniques, • Product‑market fit: We have built the leading product in our category, in a massive market. We've hit an inflection point and are on track to build a generational company., • World‑class team: We seek high agency contributors who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize what matters and are action‑biased., • Grow with us: We reward impact, not credentials or years of experience. We intend to grow talent from within as we scale up., • Competitive pay and benefits: top compensation with full benefits including:, • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, • Unlimited PTO, • 401(k), • Equity, • Meals provided daily in office #J-18808-Ljbffr
