The Rewards and Benefits on offer: \n\n • A full time and Permanent contract from day 1!\n, • Immediate Starts Available.\n, • Company bonus structure\n, • Working with blue chip organisations/clients.\n, • Free On-site Parking.\n, • Company Pension Scheme.\n, • Holiday entitlement + Stats.\n\n Mtrec’s New Job Opportunity: \n MTrec Technical are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering and manufacturing organisation, seeking a Thermal Applications Engineer to join their growing team. \n This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced engineers to work as part of a specialist engineering business and provide bespoke technical solutions to their customer base. \n Apply now for an immediate response! \n The Job you will do: \n\n • Provide expert pre-sales and post-sales technical support for bespoke engineer solutions in data centre environments.\n, • Act as the technical authority and customer-facing expert for technical systems\n, • Enable successful design-in, deployment, operation, and optimization of systems across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centres.\n, • Bridge customer requirements with internal engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams.\n, • Deliver remote technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.\n, • Review customer mechanical, thermal, and hydraulic designs and provide recommendations.\n, • Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training for customers and partners.\n, • Assist sales teams with technical proposals, RFQs, and responses to RFPs.\n, • Perform thermal and hydraulic analysis to validate system performance.\n, • Support pilot projects, proof-of-concept (PoC) deployments, and field trials.\n, • Provide feedback to R&D on field issues, customer needs, and product improvement opportunities.\n\n About you: \n\n • Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Thermal Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.\n, • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in a related role\n, • Proven experience with data centre infrastructure (cooling, racks, power, IT equipment).\n, • Hands-on experience with liquid cooling systems Direct-to-chip cooling Rear-door heat exchangers Liquid cooling systems (single- or two-phase)\n, • Experience working directly with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise customers.\n, • Familiarity with EU regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements is preferred.\n, • Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermal management principles.\n, • Knowledge of data centre architectures, AI/HPC workloads, and high-density rack deployments.\n, • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.\n, • Experience with thermal simulation tools, spreadsheets, and performance modelling.\n, • Solid understanding of pumps, cold plates, manifolds, hoses, quick disconnects, and CDU systems.\n, • Competence in troubleshooting complex multi-disciplinary systems (thermal, mechanical, electrical).\n, • Proficient with CRM tools and technical documentation systems.\n
