The closing date is 27 May 2026 This role is for a Trained Anaesthetic Practitioner with a UK Anaesthetic qualification and UK Registration. The successful candidate will work across two sites: Poole Hospital (base) and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Shift pattern: full flexibility, 24/7/365. Interview date: 2 June 2026. The role involves delivering anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties including Orthopaedics and Trauma, Head and Neck, Obstetrics, General, Gynae, Day Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Emergency, and Recovery. You will provide safe and timely anaesthetic support, work closely with multi‑professional teams, and support the transformation and strategic vision of the Trust’s expanding theatre service. • NMC registered Nurse (Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing) or HCPC registered ODP (Dip (HE) Operating Department Practice), • UK Recognised Anaesthetic Qualification Essential, • Learning and Assessing in Practice (or equivalent teaching/mentoring qualification), • Working knowledge of basic operating department routine and surgical specialties undertaken, • Understanding of the surgical patient pathway through the hospital, • Anaesthetic knowledge and skills, • Immediate Life Support / Paediatric Immediate Life Support Qualification, • Highly motivated, • Recognises stress in self and others and manages appropriately, • Fully flexible, • Experience of working within UK guidance, regulations and procedures, • Experience of caring for patients with acute and long term conditions, • Experience of working with paediatric anaesthetics This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check for any previous criminal convictions.
