Job Summary This position is the Triton Rotating Equipment Engineer, requiring a skilled and proactive Engineer to support the integrity, reliability, and performance of rotating mechanical equipment on an ageing Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit operating in the North Sea. This role ensures safe and efficient operations by managing degradation risks, overseeing maintenance strategies, and driving asset life extension initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities This role has the following responsibilities and outputs • Responsible for providing support to the offshore operations team when required relating to the operation, maintenance, and diagnostics of rotating equipment., • Accountable for preparing work in accordance with the Dana activity planning process, adhering to gate criteria and stage gate readiness requirements., • Responsible for overseeing Performance Standards compliance for Rotating Equipment Containment and Firewater Pumps through maintenance delivery and compliance testing. Notify the Mechanical Technical Authority of any deviations., • Provision of front-line technical support across rotating equipment discipline that is in line with Dana and Industry standards., • Manage rotating equipment maintenance outages ensuring flawless execution against the project plan., • Consult with Technical Authorities as necessary to resolve technical challenges that require in depth investigation., • Support safe and environmentally responsible rotating equipment operation that underpins Dana’s License to Operate., • Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and modifications. Raise or respond to Engineering Queries (EQ’s) to propose the changes., • Identify equipment upgrade projects and support the Management of Change (MoC) process., • Contract focal point for nominated Rotating Equipment vendors (Pumps, Diesel Engines, Gas Compressors & Gas Turbines), direct liaison, and interface to drive timely reporting, repairs, and product improvements., • Ensuring Corrective Work Orders are captured in CMMS and progressed. Support maintenance deferral notifications where required., • Ensuring all machinery condition information is up to date, equipment health is understood, and relevant remedial actions are scheduled accordingly., • Monitor and manage equipment condition through the Dana Condition Monitoring contract and utilising online monitoring systems., • Responsible for managing spend on the relevant maintenance budgets. Input into budget forecasts and annual budget planning., • Responsible for ensuring critical spares and suitable stock levels are identified for all critical rotating equipment., • Conduct offshore site visits to enhance onshore/offshore collaboration, survey Rotating Equipment and identify opportunities for improvement., • Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations. Witness Pump, Diesel Engine, Compressor & Turbine equipment repairs and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where required. Support the Environmental Dept. for emissions reporting., • Provide input where require supporting Verifier surveys and responses to Verifier findings., • Provide input to HSE inspection plans as required and actions arising as directed by the HSE Advisor. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for managing deck activities and supervising lifting operations on the installation and ensuring they are carried out in accordance with LOLER and the Company’s lifting procedures. LOLER Competent Person • Develop, review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments except those that are classified as “complex”., • Determine suitable levels of supervision for complex lifts and assume role of Lifting Operations leader as required., • Liaise with appropriate departments to ensure effective planning and approvals for lifting operations., • Conduct and participate in toolbox talks and carrying out the role of Performing Authority as required., • Ensure all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards through regular conversations and observing lifting operations and individuals’ performance., • Ensure all lifting equipment and on-site rigging lofts are fully certified in compliance with company lifting procedure and industry standards., • Carry out audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance with company lifting procedures and LOLER., • Identify and propose ideas and solutions to relevant management that will increase efficiency without compromising integrity., • Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew-change., • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace., • Complete site-specific lifting inductions for new starts and ensure they are adequately coached and supervised whilst their competence and capability are verified.
