Reporting directly into the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will take a prime role within the Operations team and be responsible for maintenance activities, as well as contractor and temporary equipment management. The role will provide key maintenance, co-ordination & logistics support to the Operations team to support the smooth running of offshore and onshore operations, in line with INEOS Energy UK schedules. RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES • Promote, through ownership and participation, the INEOS 20 principles, Life Saving Rules and auditing in all aspects of production and operations, • Protection of individual and team safety, health, and the environment in accordance with governing company procedures, IGGNs and legislation, • Effectively support the management of risks, with primary focus on the prevention of Major Accident Hazards offshore, • Review onshore/offshore maintenance and preservation requirements, and input data into Maintenance Management System, to include stock management and critical spares, • Contribute/advise/develop maintenance strategies and rationalise where possible, • Assist in the Quality Management Process (QA/QC), as per INEOS procedures, to include but not limited to, specifying certification, correct receipt of this, and inspection of goods upon arrival, • Assist the team with Contractor Management, to include, but not limited to, checks on valid certification to demonstrate competency via the call-off process, following QA/QC, • Provide support and complete Temporary Equipment inspections as per INEOS Procedures, assisting with all SECE items in conjunction with the relevant Technical Authority, • Assist in Warehouse/Workshop activity as required, utilising other disciplines accordingly, • Support the Change Management Process as required as per INEOS Procedures, • Contribute to the review of field requisitions received from offshore asset team and where applicable, distribute engineering related requisitions for further action, • Participate in Maintenance/Inspection planning and prioritisation, including allocation of resources and equipment, liaising with vendors and assist with maintenance input/closeout as required, • Contribute to the development of preventative maintenance and inspection work instruction., • Provide regular support to the logistics department, • Liaise with discipline Operations Engineers as required, • Contribute to the INEOS Safe System of Work (SSOW) and assist in planning for platform visits, • Contribute to shutdown planning, to include, but not limited to, isolation preparation and material requirements, • Contribute to procedure reviews as required, • Supplementary duties as required to support the Engineering & Maintenance Manager SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION • Previous offshore experience is preferred (Mechanically biased), • Understanding/experience of equipment, maintenance and reliability, • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, • Previous experience of working with databases BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Have a structured, well-organised and enthusiastic approach to work, • Able to work under time pressure and deliver a reasoned outcome both autonomously and collectively, • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, • Team player – able to develop good working relationships and work with a positive attitude to maximise effectiveness, • Detail orientated, • Attention to detail, identifying potential issues and taking a pro-active and solutions focused approach to anything that arises
