We are currently seeking a skilled and certified Portable Fire Extinguisher Engineer to join our team. As a Portable Fire Extinguisher Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and servicing portable fire extinguishers to ensure they are in proper working condition and comply with safety regulations. Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers according to relevant standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 10). Perform hydrostatic testing, refilling, and recharging of fire extinguishers as needed. Identify and troubleshoot issues with fire extinguishers, and perform repairs or replacements as necessary. Install new fire extinguishers and provide training to clients on proper usage and maintenance. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and services performed using company software or documentation. Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and recommendations to clients. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to fire extinguisher servicing and maintenance. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Requirements: Certified Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician or equivalent certification. Previous experience in fire protection or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of portable fire extinguisher types, classifications, and maintenance procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various environments. Trainee Lift Engineer Your role will include working closely with a Senior Lift Engineer and with a wider team of engineers across our Service and Repair Department. Daily duties would include driving from job to job, assisting the senior engineer with role, including carrying out lift maintenance visits, attendance to breakdowns, carrying out fault finding and carrying out small repairs.
