Job: People & Culture Advisor Location: Speke, Liverpool (Hybrid – 4 days office, 1 day home) Hours: Full Time, 8:45am-4:45pm Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week Salary: £35,000 + 27 days holiday plus bank holidays At FRC Group, our mission is simple but ambitious: to End Furniture Poverty. Now, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Advisor to join our People & Culture team and help us create a positive, fair and supportive workplace for everyone. About the role As our People & Culture Advisor, you’ll be a key point of contact for managers and colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relations and people management. You’ll manage a varied caseload, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes, while also supporting the wider People & Culture team with initiatives that enhance engagement, inclusion, and employee experience. You’ll have a strong grasp of employment law and HR best practice, and you’ll be confident coaching and supporting managers to handle issues effectively and independently What you’ll do • Act as one of the main points of contact for HR and People queries., • Provide timely, pragmatic advice on ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, probation, and flexible working., • Manage ER cases from initial advice through to resolution, maintaining accurate documentation and records., • Support the HR Business Partner with proactive interventions to improve engagement, culture, and retention., • Develop and deliver manager training on ER, people management and employment law updates., • Monitor trends in ER cases and provide insights to inform policy and process improvements., • Support and coordinate essential compliance training programmes., • Contribute to projects and initiatives that foster inclusion and strengthen our workplace culture. About you You’ll have a strong understanding of UK employment law and experience managing a variety of ER cases. You’re a confident communicator, able to build trust at all levels, and you approach challenges with resilience, empathy, and a solutions focus. Essential: • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)., • Proven experience managing ER cases independently., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable: • HR experience in logistics/manufacturing., • Broader HR generalist experience.
