Choices provides therapeutic residential care for children with EBD needs, and we are looking for an experienced Home Manager to lead one of our small, nurturing homes in Stockport. This is a role for someone who can build a stable home, develop a great team, and deliver consistent, child centred care every day. At Choices, we focus on high quality therapeutic care and positive outcomes. You will be supported by an experienced senior team, with strong backing across HR, recruitment, training coordination and performance management, so you can focus on leading the home and supporting your team to do their best work. Your total annual package can reach up to £63,000, made up of: £60,000 per year £3,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted outcome £1,500 for a Good Ofsted outcome Pension scheme Relaxed dress code Blue Light Card Employee Welfare Programme via salary sacrifice, including retail discounts plus GP and counselling hotlines Quarterly welfare raffle with prizes such as holidays, spa breaks, and cinema vouchers Free meals during shifts Support towards your Level 5 qualification Supportive team and structured working pattern In this pivotal role, you will: Lead, motivate and develop a staff team to deliver consistent therapeutic care Oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring high standards are maintained Hold overall responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, care planning and outcomes Create a stable, structured, supportive environment where children can thrive Work closely with placing authorities and partner professionals to meet each child’s needs Drive a positive culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement We are looking for confident and committed leaders who: Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or are working towards it Have strong experience in a residential EBD childcare setting (3 Years or more) Have leadership experience at Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Home Manager level Demonstrate excellent safeguarding knowledge and confident decision making Are passionate about trauma informed, child centred practice and achieving real outcomes for children Choices is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
