    We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a modern European restaurant inspired by Spanish and Greek Mediterranean cuisine. The role combines traditional techniques with a contemporary approach and involves delivering high-quality restaurant service alongside weddings, corporate events, private dining and other large-scale catering occasions. The successful candidate will take responsibility for kitchen operations, menu development, costing, team leadership and consistent quality across à la carte dining and events. Key responsibilities • Lead the creation and execution of menus highlighting Spanish and Greek influences., • Develop seasonal menus for lunch, dinner, brunch and private events., • Design and deliver menus for weddings, canapé receptions, bowl-food service, corporate events and private dining., • Collaborate with the events team on menu planning, tastings, logistics and service flow., • Manage preparation schedules, ordering, stock control, food safety and allergen compliance., • Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, cleanliness and kitchen organisation., • Manage supplier relationships, food costs and waste to support healthy gross profit margins., • Recruit, train and develop a high-performing kitchen team., • Plan rotas, manage labour costs and support staff performance and development., • Work closely with the owner, general manager, events team and front-of-house colleagues to ensure seamless service. What we are looking for • At least five years’ experience in senior kitchen roles, including a minimum of two years as a Head Chef or above., • Strong experience with Spanish and/or Greek cuisine, Mediterranean produce, flavours and techniques., • Proven ability to deliver restaurant à la carte service and high-volume event catering simultaneously., • Experience creating menus and costing dishes to achieve healthy margins., • Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills., • Excellent organisation and the ability to perform effectively under pressure., • Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and allergen standards.
