Job Description: We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Appley Bridge who are looking to recruit a General Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team. You’ll be working closely with two experienced accounts professionals, gaining exposure across multiple areas of finance — this is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a well-rounded accounts career. Key Responsibilities • Assisting with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, • Supporting the Credit Control function, • Helping with general accounts administration, • Processing invoices, reconciliations and data entry, • Providing wider admin support across the office when required, • Occasionally assisting in the on-site retail/store area (team approach – everyone chips in) What We’re Looking For • Some experience within an accounts or finance environment, • AAT Level 2 (or working towards) preferred but not essential, • A positive, can-do attitude — no “that’s not my job” mentality, • Someone who is flexible, reliable and happy to support across the business, • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn, • Available to start quickly What’s On Offer • Salary of £28,000, • Annual team bonus (~£2,000), • Stable, growing manufacturing business, • Supportive team environment with real variety in the role, • Opportunity to develop across all areas of accounts Why This Role?
