Podcast Studio Assistant (In-Person) - Clerkenwell - London Location: Vertical Drop Studio, Clerkenwell, London Pay: £15–£20 per hour (depending on experience) Type: Part-time / Freelance (with potential to increase hours) About Vertical Drop Vertical Drop is a fast-growing, premium podcast studio and production agency working with founders, CEOs, and senior leaders—primarily within the recruitment and B2B SaaS space. Our Clerkenwell studio delivers high-quality, end-to-end podcast production from recording through to polished multi-camera video and audio output. We are looking for an experienced Podcast Studio Assistant to support studio operations during recording days and ensure every session runs smoothly and professionally. Important – In-Person Role • This is a fully in-person role based in our Clerkenwell studio, • Remote or hybrid working is not possible for this position., • Applicants must be able to travel to and work on-site in Farringdon / Clerkenwell, London The Role You will be the on-site technical and operational support for podcast recording sessions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable in a professional studio environment and confident working with senior-level clients and their guests. Y Responsibilities include: • Setting up and breaking down podcast recording sessions, • Operating audio and video equipment during recordings, • Managing microphones, cameras, lighting and monitoring sound levels and quality, • Monitoring recordings to ensure high production quality, • Welcoming guests and presenters and providing a calm, professional studio experience, • Troubleshooting basic technical issues in real time, • Preparing and organising files post-recording for handover to the production team, • Keeping the studio clean, tidy, organised and session-ready at all times About You You will ideally have: • Previous experience working in a podcast, audio, video or broadcast studio, • Confidence with microphones, audio interfaces, cameras and lighting setups, • A strong attention to detail and pride in high production standards, • A warm, calm, professional manner when working with clients and guest, • The ability to work independently and take ownership of studio sessions, • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility around recording schedules Experience with podcast-specific workflows, multi-camera setups or professional audio equipment is highly desirable.
