Product & Purchasing Coordinator Location: Exeter Salary: Circa £30,000 (DOE) The Opportunity This is a newly created Product & Purchasing Coordinator role within a growing and well-funded business that is building out its operational and manufacturing capability. As the business scales, there is a need to strengthen coordination across product, purchasing and supplier activity. This role has been designed to remove bottlenecks, improve visibility and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across sourcing, production and product readiness. You’ll sit at the centre of multiple workflows – working closely with suppliers, internal teams and operational leadership – helping ensure everything is aligned from initial sourcing through to product launch. The Role This is a hands-on coordination role focused on purchasing, product administration and supplier management. You’ll be responsible for supporting the flow of information, materials and documentation across the business, ensuring everything is organised, accurate and delivered on time. The role combines administration, supplier coordination and operational support, and will suit someone who enjoys structure, detail and working across multiple moving parts. As the business grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater ownership and expand your responsibilities across product, purchasing and manufacturing operations. What You’ll Be Doing • Tracking supplier quotes and ensuring timely responses and comparisons, • Raising and managing purchase orders in line with agreed pricing and terms, • Supporting supplier onboarding and maintaining supplier documentation, • Liaising with suppliers to request, chase and manage required information, • Requesting and managing technical product documentation (e.g. certifications and data sheets) • Maintaining compliance records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible • Managing product sample logs, including tracking testing and approvals, • Supporting product setup, packaging and launch readiness, • Updating and maintaining product and supplier data within internal systems, • Ensuring all product, supplier and compliance data remains accurate and up to date • Coordinating testing activity and tracking progress and results, • Supporting production coordination across internal and third-party manufacturing • Liaising with suppliers and partners to track production timelines and delivery schedules • Sourcing and coordinating materials required for production, • Highlighting any risks to timelines, supply or product availability What We’re Looking For This role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working across multiple operational areas. You’ll enjoy managing information, coordinating activity and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
