You will be supporting children and young adults with Autism and learning disabilities, helping them to live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. About the Role As a Care/Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans. Your role will focus on promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion.     Location: Hayes / UB8 area Pay: £13.50 per hour Immediate start We are looking for an experienced and reliable male support worker to support a 16-year-old boy with learning disabilities. He is non-verbal and requires patient, attentive support to remain safe at home and while accessing the community. The successful applicant must understand how to support children or young people with learning disabilities, communication difficulties and limited awareness of danger. Working hours The role is for approximately 20 hours per week, usually worked in five-hour blocks. Example schedule: • Monday: 12:00pm–5:00pm, • Tuesday: 12:00pm–5:00pm, • Wednesday: 12:00pm–3:00pm, • Thursday: 12:00pm–5:00pm Some flexibility may be required depending on the young person’s needs. Main responsibilities • Supporting the young person to remain safe at home, • Supporting him to access activities in the community, • Providing reassurance, structure and close supervision, • Supporting positive engagement and meaningful activities, • Following his care plan and agreed safety procedures, • Working alongside another care worker during community outings, • Communicating appropriately with his family and care team Requirements • Previous experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, • Experience supporting non-verbal individuals, • Good understanding of safeguarding and managing risks, • Patient, calm, reliable and able to follow instructions, • Enhanced DBS registered with the online Update Service, • Right to work in the UK, • Able to start immediately Due to the specific care and support needs of the young person, applications are invited from male care workers only. This role would particularly suit an experienced payroll manager, finance officer, bookkeeper, or retired/semi-retired accountant seeking a rewarding and flexible part-time position. Key Responsibilities • Manage weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees, • Ensure accurate PAYE, National Insurance, pension, and HMRC submissions., • Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment., • Process staff expenses and travel claims., • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers., • Raise invoices and reconcile customer payments., • Carry out bank reconciliations., • Monitor cash flow, debtor balances, and credit control., • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports., • Liaise with the external accountant regarding month-end and year-end accounts., • Maintain accurate payroll and financial records., • Ensure compliance with HMRC, employment legislation, and financial procedures., • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and financial processes. The role is accountable for safeguarding, staff development, operational excellence, and achieving positive outcomes for children. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Operational Management • Provide strong, child‑centred leadership that promotes safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing., • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards., • Maintain and regularly review the Statement of Purpose., • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational systems., • Ensure the home is adequately staffed at all times and manage the rota effectively., • Oversee health & safety, fire safety, and environmental risk management. 2.
