They are currently looking for a Securities Operations AVP to join them for an initial 6 month contract, however there may be scope for extension. Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to provide critical operational support for the upcoming ECB EU AG FFT project within Securities Operations. As the scope and volume of activity expands, a dedicated resource is required to ensure seamless execution of business-as-usual (BAU) processes and to manage the increased complexity across trade life cycle functions. Accountabilities & Responsibilities: To perform below activities: Trade Lifecycle Management: • Execute and monitor end-to-end trade processing for Repo, Credit Bonds, and other Fixed Income instruments., • Ensure timely and accurate trade confirmation with counterparties via platforms such as MarkitWire, SWIFT, or email., • Manage tri-party repo transactions, • Liaise with tri-party agents (eg, Euroclear) to ensure smooth processing and resolution of issues., • Maintain daily BAU processes including reconciliations, exception management, and reporting., • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, unmatched trades, and settlement fails., • Apply deep understanding of Fixed Income instruments, including credit bonds, sovereign debt, and structured products., • Collaborate with Front Office, risk, compliance, and technology teams to resolve operational issues., • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk., • Educated to degree level, • Strong understanding of Fixed Income instruments, especially:, • Repos (bilateral and tri-party), • Credit Bonds (corporate, sovereign, high-yield), • Familiarity with trade life cycle and settlement processes, • Knowledge of tri-party agents (Euroclear), • Experience with confirmation platforms (eg, MarkitWire, SWIFT), • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas; VBA is a plus), • Experience with settlement systems (eg, DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream), • Exposure to collateral management tools and reconciliation platforms, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to identify and resolve trade breaks and settlement issues, • Good understanding of risk and control frameworks, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work effectively with internal teams (Front Office, Risk, Compliance), • Strong relationship management with external counterparties and custodians, • Familiarity with regulations impacting securities operations, such as:, • CSDR (Central Securities Depositories Regulation), • SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation), • Experience in Securities Operations, • Fixed Income Middle Office, • Repo and Collateral Operations, • Trade confirmation and settlement, • Tri-party repo processing, • Credit bond life cycle events This role requires candidates to work from the clients London office 2-3 days a week.
