Learning Support Assistant Location: Clevedon, North Somerset Pay: £19,837.86 - £21,144.45 actual salary Contract: Full time, fixed term contract, from September 2026 - August 2027 This school is currently recruiting for a number of Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) including for part time roles. About the Teaching Assistant role As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. You'll support pupils across KS2, including children with SEND (ASC) and SEMH (displayed with challenging behaviours) needs, helping them access learning and thrive in school. The roles the school are currently recruiting for are specific to year 3 and year 6. Key responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant: • Primary classroom support: Assist with lesson delivery across KS2, helping pupils stay engaged and motivated., • SEND & SEMH support: Provide tailored one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with additional needs., • Behaviour management: Use positive, age‑appropriate strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom., • Inclusive learning: Help create a safe, welcoming space where every child feels valued., • Team collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure smooth daily routines., • School community involvement: Contribute to wider school life, events, and initiatives.
