Autism Practitioners (Support Workers) Tayside Area Services – Errol Service, PH2 Postcode Full Time and Part Time positions available – including small, flexible contracts Pay Scale: Starting at £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.82 after engagement. We are looking to recruit team players who have excellent communication skills and an ability to think creatively. The autistic gentleman we support enjoys engaging in all kinds of activities in their local community such as swimming, walks, drives and arts and crafts. This role is an excellent opportunity to support someone to engage in activities that they love and develop independence and new skills, working within a wider multi-disciplinary team. One area I found to be very influential in their life was humour and this is one thing that I love about them.” Autism Practitioners work as part of a team to: • Continually develop and implement personalised support plans for the supported person,, • Build positive relationships with the supported person,, • Work in partnership with the supported person, their family, support network and health professionals,, • Make informed choices using their preferred communication methods,, • Take part in their chosen activities, attending local events, shopping, going on holiday etc. Practitioners can expect to go out and about with supported individuals to places of interest,, • Complete all necessary tasks which enable them to maintain their homes, including paying bills and supporting them to make the decisions that matter to them.
